I do pro bono volunteer legal work with the Lawyer’s Committee for Civil Rights – Legal Services for Entrepreneurs program, which provides free legal services to low-income individuals and immigrants that are starting businesses. It’s a terrific program, and I really enjoy working with new entrepreneurs to help them establish their businesses.
I’ll be giving two workshops in Spanish at the Mission Economic Development Agency over the next few weeks. The workshops are intended to help immigrant entrepreneurs understand basic legal issues affecting their business.
Business Law Basics, providing a broad overview of Entities, Contracts & Commercial Leases, Employment, Trademarks, and other general considerations.
Date: Tuesday, March 26, 2013 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Basic Contracts, where we’ll discuss contract terms and work through employment, independent contractor sale of goods, services, and commercial lease contracts.
Date: Tuesday, April 2, 2013 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Both presentations will be held at:
Mission Economic Development Agency
2301 Mission Street, Suite 301
San Francisco, Ca 94110
If interested, I hope you can join us. Remember, the presentations will be in Spanish!
